When Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom was announced a while back, one of the major questions surrounding it was when it would actually be released. Well, it seems that the game will be coming out sometime next year.
The Ni no Kuni games are an interesting role-playing game series as they famously include the talents of Level-5 and Studio Ghibli. The latter also includes the likes of composer Joe Hisaishi.
The result of this collaboration meant that Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch on PS3 had a decidedly classic anime feel to it.
While the PS3 game was very well regarded on its release, it only went onto sell around 1.5 million copies worldwide. Normally, that would be a decent amount of sales but the production behind the game wasn’t trivial.
Thankfully, Bandai Namco seem keen to support some more games in the series and I am hopeful that Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will fare better on PS4 than the original game did on PS3
